Trama del film: Trolls
Dai creatori di Shrek, arriva TROLLS film d' animazione diretto da Mike Mitchell e Walt Dohrn(Shrek e vissero felici e contenti) su uno script di Erica Rivinoja, una nuova commedia musicale che porta sul grande schermo le amate creature dai coloratissimi capelli.
Trolls vede protagonisti Anna Kendrick come Poppy la leader ottimista dei Troll e Justin Timberlake nei panni del suo opposto Branch. Insieme Poppy e Branch dovranno imbarcarsi in un'avventura che li porterà ben oltre il solo mondo che abbiano mai conosciuto. Il cast vocale di Trolls include anche Gwen Stefani come DJ Suki, James Corden come Biggie, Russell Brand come Creek, Icona Pop come The Fashionistas, Ron Funches come Cooper e Kunal Nayyar come Guy Diamond. Alla regia di Trolls il duo Mike Mitchell e Walt Dohrn (Shrek e vissero felici).
Il fenomeno delle bambole Troll nasce nel 1959 quando il pescatore e taglialegna danese Thomas Dam, troppo povero per permettersi un regalo di Natale per la sua giovane figlia Lajla, scolpì una bambola per lei basata sul leggendario troll scandinavo. Questo moderno Geppetto non avrebbe potuto immaginare che le bambole Troll sarebbero presto diventate uno delle più grandi manie degli anni '60, tornando alla ribalta negli anni '90.
Justin Timberlake ha scritto la colonna sonora ed interpreterà canzoni originali.
Ho sempre immaginato di poter portare i due mondi del cinema e della musica insieme per un evento epico e non potrei essere più entusiasta del fatto che si scontreranno nel Trolls di DreamWorks. Questo film è molto speciale, la musica sarà molto speciale e non vedo l'ora che tutti ne abbiano la prova.

Justin è un artista straordinariamente versatile e un produttore il cui talento creativo senza precedenti fornirà una voce unica per il nostro film. Trolls è una commedia con musica fantastica al suo interno e non possiamo pensare ad un artista più perfetto per elevare questa colonna sonora ad incredibile altezze.
Trolls debutterà nei cinema italiani a ottobre 2016.
